The Jenney Mill was the first successful mill in the Plymouth Colony. John Jenney arrived in Plymouth in 1623 on board of the ‘Little James’ and was granted license to build and operate the water powered mill, malting floor and brewery in 1636. The mill burned in 1837 but has been rebuilt on the original stone foundations in 1970. It is open to visitors to this day.
